Bob Dransite - Leader; Tenor Saxophone, Clarinet
Bob Dransite studied at the Eastman School of Music, where he recorded with the Eastman Symphonic Wind Ensemble. He has been a member of and soloist with the Dorsey Brothers Orchestra led by Clem DeRosa. He has appeared in concert with Phil Woods, Eddie Daniels, Bill Watrous, Scott Hamilton, Charlie Ventura, Randy Brecker, and has performed with Sarah Vaughan, Dinah Washington, Mel Torme, and Vic Damone, among many others. In 1996, Bob performed with the on-set orchestra for the movie “Sabrina”. He has led orchestras for Peter Duchin, Skitch Henderson, and Hank Lane. Bob teaches saxophone and clarinet at Hofstra University and Nassau Community College.
