The Band's History
Founded by legendary drummer AL MILLER (1927-2000) in the 1970s, The Al Miller Big Band has performed at such famed locations as Lincoln Center and the Rainbow Room, as well as countless public and private functions throughout the tri-state area. The Al Miller Big Band is led by BOB DRANSITE on tenor saxophone and clarinet, and specializes in dance music including swing, latin, ethnic, and rock. We often feature our popular Frank Sinatra tribute singer Jerry Cardone. The full band totals 19 pieces consisting of 5 saxophones, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, bass, drums, guitar, piano, and our two vocalists Jerry Cardone and Susan Turner.
See the Band Bios page for biographies of our fine musicians.
